Paediatric First Aid Refresher

Duration: 20 Minutes

There are some distinct differences when performing first aid on babies or children and the techniques used on adults, for example, if a child is choking or needs CPR.

This Refresher training is the perfect course for anyone who works with children or babies as part of their job.

This course is not a Re-qualification it is an annual refresher as recommended by HSE,

Paediatric First Aid Refresher Course Content

1. We will look at the important differences of working with children or babies, rather than adults, including D-R-A-B in the Primary Survey and how to perform it on a child or baby.
2. This section will provide demonstrations of the Recovery Position for a child, giving CPR to a child or baby, using an AED and what do if a child or baby is choking.

Test & Certificate

There will be one or two questions in between sections which are designed to reinforce learning and ensure maximum engagement but do not count towards the final test. This test usually has around 20 multiple choice questions and when passed, a printable certificate can be downloaded.
