Lone Worker Safety

Duration: 45 Minutes

This programme has been designed to help increase personal safety for those working alone, or away from colleagues.  It also applies to those whose job requires them to receive visitors, members of the public, customers, or patients, in fact anyone whom they may not know. Although personal safety at work is something that concerns everyone, lone workers are more vulnerable and at greater risk of violence and aggression.

Lone Worker Safety Course Content

1. This first section starts with what employees should consider when they are alone but at, or travelling for, work. It gives an overview of who is responsible for what during the course of their work and what measures are in place and what procedures need to be followed, to keep all staff and others safe.
2. We will take learners through some practical safety measures and techniques that they can use while lone-working.

Test & Certificate

There will be one or two questions in between sections which are designed to reinforce learning and ensure maximum engagement but do not count towards the final test. This test usually has around 20 multiple choice questions and when passed, a printable certificate can be downloaded.
