Keeping Children Safe in Education
Duration 75 minutes
All member of a school or college is legally required to acquaint themselves with Part One (or Annex A, where Governing bodies deem appropriate) of the KCSIE document. this provides statutory guidance for education establishments and is issued by the Department of Education.
This course is centred on the online version of the KCSIE document and it will allow management to ensure who has read the guidance.
Keeping Children Safe in Education Course Content
- The first section will give all staff a better understanding of how they can play an important role in safeguarding.
- Annex A is a shortened version of Part One and is used for those who do not directly work with children e.g. office staff and can be used if the governing body agrees to it. This section covers that Annex
- Annex B contains important information regarding different forms of abuse and safeguarding issues and should be used by those who directly interact with children.
Test & Certificate
There will be one or two questions in between sections which are designed to reinforce learning and ensure maximum engagement but do not count towards the final test. This test usually has around 20 multiple choice questions and when passed, a printable certificate can be downloaded.

Having your own Learning Management System allows you complete control over your e-learning and for larger orders we can provide you with your own platform, free-of-charge.
If you wish to, you can order the number of credits that you first want (10 credits = one course for one person) and when you check out, tell us that you want a new LMS – which we would suggest you should do if you want more than 15 courses.
To initiate your system we will need some information from you as to how you want your portal set up, so we will be in touch as soon as you order. We will then tailor the LMS, add the credits, send you a very comprehensive User Guide and launch your platform.
Whilst we don’t offer an actual training course on how to use the LMS, it is very simple to use and we are always here to help you should you require it.

Courses are purchased in blocks of 10 credits (10 credits = 1 course for one person). The cost of a course is therefore 10 times the price of a credit. VAT is payable on all purchases.
