CDM Regulations

The construction industry is arguably one of the most dangerous sectors to work for and it’s for this reason that the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations were first introduced.
The CDM Regulations help make the chaos of a construction project controllable – from start to finish and beyond. By creating roles and responsibilities for key duty holders throughout a construction project, they ensure that Health & Safety protocols are effectively managed by the right people, and that they are communicated to and followed by everyone.
This CDM training course breaks the regulations down into three simple sections; the roles and responsibilities of everyone involved; what needs to be planned for at each stage of a construction project; and what needs to be considered in order to keep a construction site safe.
CDM Regulations Course Content
1. What are the CDM Regulations?
This focuses on the basics of the regulations, laying the foundations. It covers the core values, the different duty holders and their duties, when and where the regulations apply, and the penalties faced for non-compliance.
2. Planning
This section covers the planning of a safe construction project: how to make sure you appoint the right duty-holders; and how to assemble the right pre-construction information, construction phase plan, and health and safety file.
3. Safe Sites
This section covers what you need to do in order to maintain a safe construction site. It covers things like vehicle safety, emergency procedures and welfare facilities
Test & Certificate
There will be one or two questions in between sections which are designed to reinforce learning and ensure maximum engagement but do not count towards the final test. This test usually has around 20 multiple choice questions and when passed, a printable certificate can be downloaded.

Having your own Learning Management System allows you complete control over your e-learning and for larger orders we can provide you with your own platform, free-of-charge.
If you wish to, you can order the number of credits that you first want (10 credits = one course for one person) and when you check out, tell us that you want a new LMS – which we would suggest you should do if you want more than 15 courses.
To initiate your system we will need some information from you as to how you want your portal set up, so we will be in touch as soon as you order. We will then tailor the LMS, add the credits, send you a very comprehensive User Guide and launch your platform.
Whilst we don’t offer an actual training course on how to use the LMS, it is very simple to use and we are always here to help you should you require it.

Courses are purchased in blocks of 10 credits (10 credits = 1 course for one person). The cost of a course is therefore 10 times the price of a credit. VAT is payable on all purchases.
