Business Compliance Essentials

Duration: 45 Minutes

All of your employees need to have a solid understanding of business compliance and so this course will give them the foundations of what is required by the many laws that organisations have to comply with, including GDPR, Fraud, Money-Laundering, Anti-Bribery and others.

This is the perfect course for existing employees, to ensure that they know what your organisation has to face but also for new starters. This course offers general guidance on a wide range of subjects that will help employees at all levels to understand their responsibilities under current legislation.

However, if you want to give your staff a more in-depth knowledge on any particular subject, there are more detailed subjects for each in our main course list.

Business Compliance Essentials Course Content

1. Cyber Security

Cyber Security is vital. The aim of this section is to look at how breaches may happen and how they could be prevented.

2. Data Protection

We look at the way personal data should be handled and why it is a legal requirement to store and use it according to the regulations.

3. Bribery & Corruption

Bribery is a very difficult thing to define, so we cover how an individual and an organisation can be affected by it and what could be done to prevent it.

4. Money Laundering

The penalties for this are vast and so we explore what money laundering is and how it is not just about money but can be about any type of asset.

5. Fraud

Legislation identifies fraud as an offence that can be committed in three separate ways, each of which is explained in this section.

6. Modern Slavery

It may be difficult to believe, but slavery is still happening today and in the UK. This section explores how we can identify if it is happening to someone and how we can move to eradicate it.

7. Whistleblowing

Whistleblowing is something that is necessary for an organisation, so we cover when it should be done, the law surrounding it and why it should be encouraged.

8. Waste

All businesses are legally required to manage waste responsibly but it is also a moral obligation in these times. This section will clarify the learner’s obligations.

Test & Certificate

There will be one or two questions in between sections which are designed to reinforce learning and ensure maximum engagement but do not count towards the final test. This test usually has around 20 multiple choice questions and when passed, a printable certificate can be downloaded.
