When we started our business some 26 years ago, prior to smart phones, there was a need to help people learn about how to use computers. This specially applied to construction Site Managers and so we developed a classroom course (there was no e-learning then either!) called ‘Learn to Love Your Computer’ which covered the basics of Word and Excel and how to deal with emails. Several years went by when the course became redundant as technology had moved on. However, interestingly, things have gone full circle! It is becoming apparent that some of our clients are having difficulty with youngsters who have really had no experience of using a computer, as everything is done via apps on their phones. Suddenly they need to us Word and Excel and have to compose and answer emails, so we have developed some short courses on the Microsoft suite of programmes which will help new users.
