The YOU Trust

The YOU Trust has been helping individuals and families to build a better quality of life providing resources, tools and responsive care to help realise their dreams of security and greater stability for over 20 years. YOU provide person-centred support to people across the UK who have a disability or face social exclusion.

With 400 employees the YOU Trust has a variety of training requirements, some of which are outsourced to Helmsman Services. Vanessa Steenton, Learning and Development manager with the YOU Trust explained, 'All of our new starters go though mandatory training as part of the induction process; we outsource our First Aid, COSHH and manual handling training courses to Helmsman Services. To use an external supplier for our training means that we are accessing up to date industry knowledge and expertise. This in turn ensures that our staff are trained to the highest level, and are using their training and knowledge in the workplace'.

Since the YOU Trust started working with Helmsman early in 2007 they have been continually impressed with the service Helmsman offer. Vanessa continued, ‘The Helmsman Services team recognise us as a customer and their levels of customer service are excellent. They are quick to respond to our queries and we genuinely feel valued by Helmsman and confident that they are providing us a value for money service'.
